Zela Maritime Enterprises Ltd. was established in Cyprus in 2009. Our team of highly skilled shore and ship-based professionals offer clients highly integrated maritime services, whilst at the same time understanding and working closely with our clients. For years, small to medium, family-run shipping companies have succeeded in establishing themselves amongst the coming and going of huge multinational management companies, and unpredictable stock-listed shipping companies. It is this ‘boutique-style’ ship management that Zela Maritime offers, paying special attention to the needs of the clients, and giving them the opportunity to offer their own input into the overall management of their vessels.

Mr. Antonis Mikellides

Mr. Antonis Mikellides established Zela Maritime Enterprises Ltd. in 2009. Grandson of the Late Mr. Kyriacos G. Mouskas, “the first Cypriot Shipowner”, Mr. Mikellides was inevitably involved in the Shipping Industry at a young age. Growing up by his grandfather’s side in Athens, Greece, he eventually moved to London, England to further his studies. He achieved a BA (Hons) in Business Computing, and successfully completed his Masters Degree in ‘Shipping, Trade, and Finance’ at City University. Mr. Mikellides also holds a certificate in ISM Auditing and a Certificate in Terrorism Studies from the University of St. Andrews, Scotland. An active member of the Cyprus Union of Shipowners, Mr. Mikellides was elected to sit on the Board of Directors in 2007, and was recently re-elected in 2009.
After completing his studies, Mr. Mikellides joined the family business, Zela Shipping Co Ltd. in London, involving himself in the Operations Department and Technical Department, as well as frequently visiting the company’s fleet and undergoing internal audits. Antonis Mikellides, returned to Athens, when the Technical Department relocated to Greece and was run out of the company’s Management Office Seascope Shipping Agency Ltd. This gave Mr. Mikellides the chance to oversee the Athens Office, responsible for Technical management and Crewing.

Mr Kyriacos Z. Mouskas

Mr Kyriacos Z. Mouskas, co-founder of Zela maritime, was born and grew up in London, England. After achieving a BSc degree in Business Administration with Honours, he joined one of the oldest Greek Shipping Firms, Embiricos Shipbrokers when at that time they had the largest mixed fleet in tonnage terms. In 1993 he joined the family business, Zela Shipping Company Ltd., and the following year he was elected a member of the Baltic Exchange. Mr Mouskas holds a diploma from Det Norske Veritas for International Safety Management code, and was promoted to company director of Zela Shipping in 1999.His expertise lies mainly with chartering and sale and purchase matters, as well as marine insurance, market research, and finance.

Mr Kyriacos G. Mouskas

Mr Kyriacos G. Mouskas, co-founder of Zela maritime, was born and grew up in London, England. Having graduated in 2004 Mr Mouskas went on to achieve an MSc in Internal Auditing and Management before working for two years as a compliance officer. In 2007 Mr Mouskas joined Zela Shipping Company Ltd. where he has focused on the daily operation of their bulk carrier fleet as well as chartering and sale and purchase matters.
